Global Vikas Trust is a charitable trust engaged in rural rural development through multiple interventions including,

  • Cluster-based fruit tree plantation programme with small and marginal farmers
  • Water conservation projects including river widening and groundwater recharging to support the water requirements of drought prone villages
  • Women empowerment projects involving sericulture and agri value-chain activities
  • Social causes such as dowry free community marriages and campaigns against illicit consumption of alcohol

Rural Development Trust – Vision

In just six years, GVT, with its dedicated team of over 200 members, has led a massive transformation.

  • Planted 64 million fruit trees across 43,000+ acres.
  • Uplifted over 29,000 farmer families out of poverty in 5,000 villages.
  • Farmer's annual income skyrocketed tenfold-from Rs 38,700 to Rs 393,000 per acre.
  • Harvested over 8 billion litres of water through different interventions.
  • Built a state-of-the-art farmer training centre spanning 100,000 sq.ft. across a 25 acre campus.
  • Developed proprietary ERP system to manage the operations - efficiency, accountability, transparency

Undertake water conservation projects in drought prone and water deficit villages to help people and restore ecological balance.
